Why some people are too stubborn to let it go?

We did a Farewell Party to this 85's co-worker then she announced she'll be back working after travelling alone to visit family & friends (oh.. sooner than we think). I mean, what happen to the golden years?There's a lot of young people who are waiting to get in & need a job too...!
