Is installing a 64-bit version of Windows 7 going to change some video device issues on my computer?

I recently had a new hard drive installed on my computer, to which Windows 7, the 32-bit version was installed. My computer is compatible with the 64-bit version. Since these changes on my computer, I noticed that I am limited to some personalization options that I had before. For example, I can no longer change the color of the task-bar. None of the screen-savers are available now and most of the games that come with Windows 7 don't work or are really slow. Would these work again if I installed the 64-bit version of Windows 7?

Do we deserve a refund after a festival has failed?

About 15-20000 people went to a music festival in Bulgaria. During the first day of the festival the headliner (Jamiroquai) twisted his ankle and did not show up.They announced his absence at around 20:00 hour.The second day didn't even start as there were winds of up to 80-100 km/h. So now after this enormous failure, the promoters want to refund only the tickets with which people haven't entered the arena during the first day (which is insane as you could imagine how little people would have remained outside the gates after 8 pm) and refund tickets for the second day,but only if they have a bill attached to them (which in the late afternoon of the first day they were removing,knowing that people will need them for the refund). So any advice on how to proceed

Backsavers for horseback riding? Advice anyone?

I have broken my back and was told I would never ride again...once I was able to walk properly it didn't take me long to figure out how to get back to riding. I wear a brace similar to that and it helps to support the part of my back where the muscles were ripped. Unfortunately the pain usually sets in after about an hour and I have to get off. A body protector doesn't have the support that the back saver does but it wouldn't be a bad idea to where both in combination. And yes, I always hold in the back of my mind that if I come off wrong I have a chance of being a paraplegic. But I got thrown pretty good last year (not my horse)-didn't hurt my back at all-but I broke my leg in four places!! And yup, as soon as I could figure out how to get on my horse I was back on!

Wedding Ideas!!??...DIY...?

I don't know what your idea of low budget is but 100 guests is not a small wedding. that's how many I had last year and it was a big deal to plan. open bar will run you about $30 per person, plus gratuity for the bartender FYI. that's what our venue estimated, people drink about $30 worth if it's open bar. our catering was over $50 per person, you do the math. and the venue rental fee was 4 figures on top of all that.

Scholarship Question ?

when you apply for a scholarship on like Fastweb.com or Cappex.com or whatever, how do you know you got the scholarship if they don't tell you the date they announce the winner? Also do they email you or send you a letter saying you won that scholarship?

Anyone with divorced family members, or those divorced themselves?

I have a relationship with ex, his father and a sister. It is not overly friendly but polite and easy going.

Need Help With Google Redirect Virus?

I'm not sure about the IE problem, but the redirect virus does affect all browsers and search engines, so perhaps this is a related issue. Are you having trouble opening/installing/running certain software programs? I had that problem as well, so I recommend using the guide that shows it's removal so that you won't have to worry about being able to run the necessary programs to clean up the mess.

Oh my gosh how did you even know what suicide is when you were in the first grade? In grade 1 I was only 6 years old and had no clue about these things! Sorry to say his but it's not a bad thing.. You need to speak to a professional. I know maybe you won't want to hear that but trust me I went through almost the same thig as you when I was a teenager. I saw my psychologist on a regular basis and I actually thought she was the only one who understood me. Please don't kill yourself. If your mom is in any way harming you then you should really do something about it. Please get some help! It doesn't even have to be a psychologist just someone you can trust like a best friend or relative. It may seem hard to realize at times but I know and you know too that there is someone who cares.

To change screen savers etc go to start screen right click any blank spot click properties and click screen saver tab.

Roller Derby tail bone savers?

I just bought a Bum saver for roller derby. I am a newbie so I am worried that I might brake my tail bone. I am not good at all, but I will get there someday. What I am wondering is if the saver will protect my tail bone? Is there any derby girls that have used bum savers, and how they have worked?

A clerical error causes wrong teenage contest winner to be crowned, error found, how should it be fixed?

A community group has a yearly contest to sell admissions to a local festival. The reward is a college scholarship and queen/king title and several parade appearances for the winner plus an 8% commission for all contestants. A queen is crowned and less than an hour later an error in addition is found and another person should have been crowned. It is decided that both should get a scholarship, the person who should have won would eventually become co-queen but in the meantime should pretend that she did not win. A week later, it is announced that there are now two queens with no other explanation on why, no acknowledgement that the second girl actually won the contest. How should this have been handled? Is the true winner justified in being upset or should she just be glad she is getting the scholarship and suck it up as the first queen says? Should the group that holds the contest do anything further or should they just "lay low"?
