Will I be able to get contact lenses?

I'm 15 and from England. I went to optical express when I first started wearing glasses but now I go to speck savers. A few people I know at school have contacts. I don't no what my prescription is but i'm short sighted (I can't see things far away) and I have to wear glasses all the time. I have been wearing glasses since I was 11 or 12.
